Tips for living aboard ( Language)

I have now personally lived outside of my native UK in 2 different European countries so while no expert (Germany and Spain )
I have what I think can be some handy tips based on my personal experiences so far

Language

Now bar far the most simple but hard tip is learn the local language ( don't forget many region of countries have region dialect ) The most effective way I have found is shopping you will pick up food related words the fastest in my experience. And don't be scared to try and speak in the local lingo even if you say a word wrongly  the locals normally will help you get it right (and the effort is normally appreciated ) While on the topic of the local lingo it is also worth noting that often the grammar rules are different plus the way they structure the sentence , I  found ( in Germany ) (still learning Spanish and will be for quite a while which is one of the best parts of living overseas in my opinion learning the local language trying local foods etc) once you are able to get your head around the grammar I started picking up the lingo quicker.
And remember letters can be said differently for example a V in Spanish is a soft B

(If you visit our pages found in the side bar you will find two pages with Spanish words )

A few more facts about European relocation services

1: When was European Relocation services founded ?
We are the Spanish brand of Clark trading and logistics which was founded in 2012
2: What major city have you delivered to the most ?
That would be London we have delivered ,and loaded from many locations in the UK capital including areas within the Lez (our van is Euro 6 so meets all the latest standards)
3:Talking of London We have crossed and gone under the river Thames at both the Dartford crossing and the Blackwall tunnel , we have as a result passed many major London Landmarks and one regular delivery last year in London put us within 2 miles of Buckingham Palace so we are no strangers to London or major cities (we have also done on a few occasions Paris )
4: As we provide European coverage one of the most common places to find our vans can be the port of Dover we have crossed the channel many times 50 +times and have go under it on 2 occasions
5: The Furthest north one of our vans has been is Inverness in Scotland
6: Do you support any Charities ? When we where based in Hull we supported from roughly our founding Dove House hospice now in Spain in the Albox we are looking for a new worthy cause to support and will still be support Cancer research Uk
7: We run regular Spain-France - Uk runs see our upcoming routes here and as a result we can get you British food
8: We have one several occasion delivered loads that where entirely glass including a pallet of Glass from a Hull factory to a farm in North Yorkshire
9: And glass is not the only thing we have collected from manufactures we use to ( till the project was finished) deliver wood items from a factory in the Doncaster area South Yorkshire to be taken to a large refurbishment job of a huge house in London

Taken from the passenger seat in the van when in central Paris late 2016

What is 22 cubic metres

What is 22 cubic metres ?
Well put simply it is the same as 22,000 litres of water or 11,000 bottles of Pepsi poured out
22,000 cm

It is also what our van can hold it has a 22 cubic metre payload

22,000 litres of water would weigh 22,000 kg that is 22 tons so if you tried to fill the van with that amount of water it would fit but would break the vans back
So hopefully this helps you understand what 22 cubic metres is

Riddle time

Happy Friday
Lets get them brain cell's working this fine evening here in Spain
With a Riddle

Happy Saint Patrick's day

From the team here at European Relocation services happy Saint Patrick's Day

some quick facts about us here at European Relocation services

Below are a few quick facts about us here at European Relocation Services
(We are the Spanish brand for Clark trading and logistics )

We have had a van/s loading or unloading in the following countries (we are only operating 1 van at the moment but have had 2 until recently)
  • France
  • Italy
  • Germany
  • Spain (As you know we are based in Spain in the Almeria Region near Albox )
  • United Kingdom
  • Switzerland
And they have passed though
  • Belgium
  • Luxembourg

Our vans have travelled by Road , Rail (the Channel tunnel ) and Sea on the Dover - Calais or Dunkirk routes with +DFDS Seaways UK - English Channel
(All our Spain -UK routes are run though the channel ports of either Calais or Dunkirk )

And the highest we have unloaded on a removal job to date is ? at 1500 metres above sea level in the Swiss Alps (that's 1 metric mile) the job in question even need a shuttle van to access the property

We have even do deliveries where the van had to go off road for example when we delivered a kitchen to a farm in the Yorkshire dales in England. Or also in the Yorkshire dales when we delivered to an old tin miner house that now is a regular home again off road and a steep and tight approach to get there.

One of the longest single items our vans have carried was a 4m long Gps mast we took from Grimsby docks to Boston Docks (Lincolnshire ) for a survey boat

We have also collected 3 loads of timber from Immingham docks (Lincolnshire)

We have delivered some movie props to Luton Airport for a well known airline. Plus we have also delivered a pallet to the Cargo terminal at East Midlands Airport

And even collected props from the Edinburgh fringe festival

The van has been in the Alps in both France and Switzerland and the Pyrenees in Spain and France

Our van has a 22 cubic metre worth of load capacity ( that is 22,000 litres or 11,000 bottles of Pepsi poured out)

The van is fitted with a lockable tail lift as well as lockable roller doors and a solid body so your items are nice and secure

The van is fitted with a 500kg taillift

Riddle time

Here is today #Riddle to get your brains working

The power of the Sea

All the above pictures and video are form the Costa De Almeria in Spain ( The Coast of Almeria ) which is on the Mediterranean Sea coast
a few facts
The Mediterranean Sea is 2.2 million square km and at some points on 7km wide
The Mediterranean Sea has an average depth of 1,500 m (4,900 ft) (which by the way also happens to be the same distance that we have worked above sea level  find more tip bits about European Relocation services here )
The Mediterranean has a higher saline content than the Atlantic ocean
There is an underwater (yes you read that right under water )waterfall in the Straits of Gibraltar where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic ocean as the Mediterranean is also shallower than the Atlantic and the water temperature is different
